My daughter wore this gorgeous dress for her garden wedding in July, 2015. It was the first dress that caught her eye, but of course she had to go and try on another 50 dresses before she came back to this one. One of the striking things about this dress is its simplicity. The A-line silhouette is so beautiful. My daughter is slim with an hour-glass figure, and this dress looked like it was created especially for her. The champagne color and white lace overlay were perfect for her coloring and so, so feminine.

The dress consists of five layers of fabric: The top layer is white tulle with machine applique and (plastic) seed pearls. The second layer is plain tulle. It has a few very small tears near the hem. These are invisible and would probably be cut off if you shorten the dress. The third layer is champagne-colored satin. The fourth layer is stiff netting to make the skirt stand out. The bottom layer is light, smooth polyester.

When purchased the dress was strapless, and we had the idea to add the appliqued tulle top with sleeves you see in the photos. It is attached to the bodice by basting threads and would take about one minute to detach if you didn't want to use it. To finish off the look my daughter wore my veil from my wedding 30 years ago. Altogether she looked like a vision and said it was the most beautiful she's ever felt in her entire life.
